animated shorts
"hitchhiker" (2025) is an award-winning ten minute film about a trucker who travels with an alien and learns to cope with grief. i developed the original pitch and co-directed this film with a team of 27, bringing it to life throughout my senior year at columbia college chicago.view the film here - password aps25
along with directing, i also had a heavy hand in the writing, character design and production, storyboarding, and animation of this film. below is some of the work i had direct involvement in producing!

About Mo
Mo Reed (they/them) is an artist who loves to draw pictures and make things move! Growing up in Flint, MI and making their way to Chicago where they are now based, Mo is fascinated by people and loves to tell stories and enrich themself with new perspectives. Mo is detail-oriented, great at working with others, and has been told they can be quite funny! Outside of art making, Mo has a super awesome job being an usher in a historical theater and has also done education work with little kids.
